Welcome to ICAN of Baltimore! |
Welcome to ICAN of Baltimore. The International Cesarean Awareness Network, Inc. (ICAN), is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to improve maternal-child health by preventing unnecessary cesareans through education, providing support for cesarean recovery, and promoting Vaginal Birth After Cesarean (VBAC). |
Meetings are free and open to everyone. You don't have to have had a cesarean (or even have had a baby for that matter) in order to attend. Dads, partners, future parents, and children all welcome! Sometimes we have assigned topics and/or a guest speaker. Other times we just enjoy a good chat. Feel free to bring a simple snack to share (helps keep the kiddies busy) but no worries if you can't. Hope to see you soon! |

Stay tuned for a webpage where we will be posting images of the opening night reception that took place on 5/29/2010 as well as a list of dates and locations where the exhibit will be traveling in the future. For information on bringing "Cesarean Voices" to your community contact ICAN of Baltimore co-leader Barbara Stratton.
